With total savings by depositors passing the £80-million mark, the Committee add to the mass of statistics
reported each year by publishing the cumulative figures for deposits, interest added, and repayments from September 1st 1919 to March
31st 1948. A new School Savings Scheme was introduced during the year. In October 1947, the Bank hosted the half-yearly conference
of the Trustee Savings Banks Association.
