The Committee of Management continue the comments of recent years regarding the economic conditions
and the level of unemployment. Despite this background, there is an increase in deposits of £1.6 million and 703 advances made
to purchase houses. The financial statements record a substantial increase in expenditure on Land and Premises, reflecting the construction
of the new Head Offices.
