On Tuesday November 12th, we were privileged to have another of Mr Camwell's interesting film programmes, entitled:
TRANSPORT
- THE CHANGING SCENE
It was immediately evident how keen he is on his subject and his enthusiasm was quickly conveyed to his
large audience. There is no doubt that "CAM" is a master of photography, particularly in the field of Transport. The programme was
varied, ranging from Birmingham's Last Tram to the Highlands of Scotland, via Norway, Denmark, Germany, a Steam Tractor Rally and
a Burton Brewery.
Among those present were Mr Robinson, the Chief Engineer of Birmingham City Transport Department and his two
assistants. Mr Robinson has, on many occasions, afforded facilities to "CAM", without which some of his films would not have been
made. We are also indebted to British Railways for the loan of both projector and projectionist. All contributed to a most enjoyable
social evening.
Thanks very much "CAM".
