Geoffrey T Edwards
 
The Spring 1972 edition of the staff magazine recorded the retirement of Geoff Edwards with a tribute written by his colleague, Wilf Gray.
From 1936, until his retirement, Geoff managed a number of branches, including Birchfield; Kingstanding; Rotton Park; and Small Heath.
His love of photography was reflected in his keen membership of the Municipal Officers' Photographic Society, where he held a variety of offices on the Society's Committee.

RETIREMENT OF GEOFFREY T. EDWARDS

 

Geoffrey T. Edwards, known to one and all as Geoff, retired on 13th January, 1972, after having completed over 46 years service with the Bank. Geoff joined the B.M.B. in 1925, was made a Branch Manager in 1936 and for many years has been a very respected Senior Manager.

 

During his long career with the Bank, Geoff has made many friends who were always attracted by his quiet spoken manner, his concern for the welfare of his staff arid his readiness to give help or advice when the occasion arose.

 

His great hobby in life has been photography and his prowess with the camera is widely known. We all hope that, with the increased leisure time now available, he will enjoy the pursuit of his hobby with even greater zest and trust that both he and his wife enjoy a long and happy retirement.
