Annual Reports - 1949
With the Bank approaching its 30th Anniversary, the Committee has little to report other than the continuing
increase in business as measured by the number of Deposit and Withdrawal transactions. The amount of Deposits barely exceeds
Withdrawals, the increase in Total Deposits to £83.4-million being mainly due to the capitalisation of interest. The level of mortgage
business during the year is static and the Published Report attempts to increase demand by advertising a leaflet regarding House
Purchase through the Bank.
