The untimely death of Clarrie Russ deprived the Bank of a Branch Manager it can ill afford to lose, and his family of a devoted father. He had a quiet disposition, but a personality both warm and full of humour, and I believe it would have been impossible for him to make enemies. He had a great delight in reading, but I have early memories of his sporting activities at Bournville, when he was an enterprising scrum-half and a sound wicket-keeper. I shall always treasure the fact that I was fortunate to regard him as a friend.
Our
condolences must be given to his widow, Helen, and his two children.
