Committee Members
Birmingham Municipal Bank
1919 to 1976

Although the Birmingham Corporation Act, 1919, allowed for up to five members of the Bank's Management Committee to be non-members of the
Council of the City of Birmingham, only three persons (marked * in the table below - see NOTE against their entry) served in that capacity
for all or part of their tenure as a Committee member. The titles Alderman and Councillor have been omitted from the remainder.

The following table records the number of years that individuals were appointed to the Committee, and the years in which they served.
The table also shows which Committee Members served as Chairman.

Members of the Bank's first Committee (1919 -1920) are shown in bold.

The Committee members for the year 1933-1934 were illustrated in a booklet celebrating the opening
of the Bank's new Head Offices in Broad Street.

The Management Committee were supported by a number of Sub-Committees.
