Annual Reports - 1959
This year's report has little content of substance, merely reiterating various statistics in a pattern
familiar from previous years. In its second year of operation, the No 2 Department's total deposits have increased to £9,529,236 -
partly at the expense of deposits in the No 1 Department; the report to the City Council states that £1,935,480 was transferred between
the departments. The trading loss incurred on the No 2 Department's operations in its initial year has been reduced to a loss of £335.
The Bank's Cumulative Profits (Accumulated Reserves), however, have almost reached £1 million. The inside rear page of the published
report now features a calendar. A large part of the report to the City Council is concerned with the sale of a portion of land at
the rear of Stirchley branch.
