It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the death of Miss Nora Frances Jenkins on October 3rd 1965, after a prolonged and very distressing illness.
Nora came to the Bank on 19th February 1934 when she was appointed to the staff of the late Mr. N. G. Yardley, who was Accountant to the Bank at that time.
Upon the retirement of Mr. Yardley in May 1958 and the subsequent appointment of Mr. E. A. Howler as Accountant, she continued, in her neat and efficient manner, to fulfill the same duties, which included a lot of work for the Staff Association.
We in the Accounts Department will miss her, and many members of the Staff will remember with sadness, and also with pleasure, instances of her wit and quiet sense of humour.
Our sympathy is extended to her sister, Miss Mary Jenkins.
Irene J. Barber.
